El Mateo

Our home from home in Seville is a spacious and comfortable three bedroom, two bathroom apartment in a typical turn of the century building with high ceilings, generous living space, comfortable bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and views of the lively, exciting Calle Mateos Gago and the iconic cathedral.

Entering through grand double doors from the street, the classically tiled, marble stairway leads you to our second floor flat.

As you come through the front door there is a generous hallway with plenty of space for you to leave your coats, hats, bags etc. To your left is The Balcony Bedroom, furnished with a gorgeous antique double bedstead and a capacious wardrobe, this room has a balcony overlooking the tree lined street with a table and two chairs, the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by or enjoy a view of the cathedral.

The light, bright living and dining room is also reached from the hallway. This generous and elegant space is perfect for relaxing after a hard day's sightseeing! Relax on the huge sofa, curl up in the comfy arm chair whilst watching the street life below or chill out with a book in the suspended bubble chair. The living room is fully equipped with a smart TV and DVD as well as a Bluetooth speaker. There is wifi and air conditioning throughout the entire flat.

The dining space has a big, modern table with ample space and plenty of chairs for sociable dinners and an antique sideboard which holds board games, dominoes, backgammon and all the crockery. There is a desk if you need to work and plenty of plugs for recharging all those essential electronic devices!

The newly equipped kitchen also leads off the hallway. We have an induction hob, fan assisted oven, dishwasher, fridges, cook books, etc., etc., etc... There is everything that you need to prepare a delicious dinner or a quick snack.

The back hallway leads to the other two bedrooms and bathrooms. The Map Bedroom has two vintage, carved wooden single beds, these can be put together to make a single king size bed. There is ample storage in the antique wardrobe and dressing table.

Directly opposite The Map Room is the bathroom. There is a very spacious walk-in shower, basin, toilet, bidet and heated towel rail as well as storage for all your toiletries.

At the end of the hallway is The Principal Bedroom Suite. This quiet and relaxed space has a dramatic king size bed and a beautiful freestanding bath. Decorated with antique furniture and mirrors it also has it's own en-suite toilet.

There is a useful laundry room with a washing machine for your use. You can access the roof terrace to dry your clothes whilst enjoying the most incredible views of the cathedral and La Giralda?!!
